How to convert music song to iPhone ringtone?

Everyone has the same cell phone ringtone, so it’s natural to want to customize it. In this video, I’ll show you how to change the call ringtone on your iPhone to the music of your choice.

The only need is that your computer has iTunes installed.

Option 1 – On your computer

Open iTunes then find and select the song you want to convert MP3 to iPhone ringtone.

Right-click and then click Song Info.

Click on the Options tab. Set the ringing time, which should not exceed 30 seconds.

To do this, locate the time boxes. Start: 0:00 and end (the time of the duration of the piece of music).

In start, leave 0:00 and tick end by setting the time to 0:30 for 30 seconds. If you change the start time, add a maximum of 30 seconds in the end box.

Then click on the OK button.

Leave the chosen song selected then click on the File / Convert menu and Create an AAC version.

Still, on the piece of music, right-click and click Show in Finder.

Find the songname.m4a file that you are going to rename to “songname.m4r” (ringtone format).

Then connect your iPhone to your computer using its USB cable.

Your iPhone should be connected in iTunes’ Devices section under the Library section.

As shown in the screenshot above, simply drag the filename.m4r file onto your iPhone.

Remember to add the whole time of the music back in its information before exiting iTunes so you can listen to it in its entirety.

Option 2 – If you’re using an iPhone,

To change the ringtone, go to Settings / Sounds and vibrations / Ringtone. Then choose the ringtone you just copied.

Your ringtone has been created and updated successfully.

See, nothing complicated! Enjoy your new custom ringtones and enjoy listening to new tones every time!
